Healthy Love vs Codependent Love. Many people gre Healthy Love vs Codependent Love.Many people grew up believing that love means sacrifice, losing yourself for others, or constantly proving your worth. Because of that, codependency can sometimes feel like love when it is actually driven by fear, insecurity, or the need for validation.Here is the difference:Healthy Love says:
• I love you, and I still have my own identity.
• I can care for you without abandoning myself.
• We can disagree and still feel safe.
• I am responsible for my emotions, and you are responsible for yours.
• Love includes boundaries, honesty, and mutual respect.
• We support each other without controlling each other.Codependent Love says:
• My happiness depends completely on you.
• I ignore my needs to keep you happy.
• I fear rejection, conflict, or being abandoned.
• I feel responsible for fixing your emotions and problems.
• I struggle to say no because I fear losing you.
